Holy McShit... I'm probably going to see WICKED on Broadway this winter!!!!!! I haven't finished the book yet. I'm about half-way through... but sadly, since school started, I haven't really had much time to read for leisure.
But YEAH. So AWESOME!
In other news, I FINALLY have a voice teacher: Laurie Flint! She was one of the two that I requested to work with, so it looks like my wish was granted, or it was just pure luck (considering who placed all of the students, it was probably the latter). I hope that ends up going well. I'm going to need an accompanist all semester, which will empty my wallet quickly (along with escalating gas prices). I've found an accompanist already... her name is Chin-yi and she plays for Erika. It'll be an interesting semester, I'm sure. What's good about Prof. Flint is that she seems to like French a lot, so hopefully that means I'll have a lot of French music. =)
The Chorale roster isn't up yet. I guess I should've waited to update until AFTER 6:00 pm and I (hopefully) get that fateful email. But TOO BAD. With any luck, I'll be on the roster, and then I can post a lovely marquee declaring my success. Right now I don't really care that much... it just sucks having to wait such a long time for audition results. And if I DO make it, I hope I enjoy it. Without Doc, it's going to be different, and I don't know yet whether it'll be a positive or negative different.
And voice lessons will definitely NOT be the same without Jason. I miss him already.
I'm so glad I don't have to work tonight. It totally SUCKED last week (including Sunday)... so much that I considered quitting. I'm gonna wait and see how this week goes. The problem now is, I don't think I can handle five days while I'm in school. Well, I guess I could, if three of them were the weekend... but I definitely don't want to work all of my weekends away. I think I'm entitled to finally having one of those damn Friday/Saturday nights OFF! Ugh. I also hope that business picks up because I made NO money on Sunday. I can't survive on $26... And also THANKS to some asshole MG employees for taking my tips away.
Project bedroom wipe-out = failure. I don't have any time.
Ooh, my mom just got a "new" car... it's a 2002 Acura RL with all of these sweet gadgets and things. It's the cleanest and best-maintained car you'll ever see. She even said she'd let me drive it! (Ok, so it'll probably only be ONCE. Once is better than "HELL NO!")
Ok, time to go. I have too much sociology work and I feel really sick. Hope everyone is well. Y
